Choose your hotel

You will need to book a hotel. Book at least from Wednesday before the race to the Monday after: you need a few days to acclimatise for the race, and although you can make it to Zurich airport after race and fly out, it makes for a very long day. Here are some good hotels in Pontresina, which is a great base for the event.

Sport Hotel***
This will be the fourth year that the Hotel Sport plays host to the Marathonistas. Its best rooms deserve more than three stars, its Wellness Area is legendary. Also has a marathon dormitory for the hard-up. Briefings will take place in its bar each evening.

Hotel Collina****
In 2006 the Collina will have an all-new wing, and we might be able to take it over during Engadin-marathon week for the Marathonistas. This time, there are a number of rooms available in this interesting hotel, which is on a hill overlooking Pontresina

Hotel Saratz*****
This is one of the best hotels in Pontresina. It is a kind of hip hotel, Philipe Stark-influenced. Very close to the tea-room and one of the closest hotels to the langlauf school. You won't regret staying there - at least until you see the bill.
